Welcome to Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL), where we embrace diversity and strive to empower all learners toward academic success. The English Learner (EL) department provides educational services for ELs with a program of study that is inclusive and that honors the various languages and cultures represented within our school population.  We have created a process by which students are identified and supported to become fluent in English and achieve in their academic content.

Approximately one third of the school’s overall population are English Learners (ELs), with a range of 30 languages that include: Portuguese, Spanish, Khmer, Gujarati, Vietnamese, and Arabic.

We provide a positive learning environment, challenging grade level academics, and extracurricular activities for all learners and work to make connections with students to build a community of curious life-long learning with an awareness of the school’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity.
