Our school is proud to offer a dynamic and engaging science and technology curriculum for grades K-2. We utilize the Amplify Science curriculum, which is designed to immerse students in hands-on investigations and real-world problem-solving. This curriculum aligns with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) standards, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience. Science Curriculum Highlights:

  • Phenomena-Based Learning: Students explore real-world phenomena, taking on roles as scientists and engineers to investigate and solve problems. This approach helps them develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Integrated Literacy Activities: The curriculum incorporates literacy-rich activities, enabling students to improve their reading and writing skills while learning science.
  • Hands-On Investigations: Each unit includes hands-on materials and activities that encourage students to actively engage with scientific concepts.

Technology Integration:

  • STEM Lab Specials: Students attend STEM lab sessions twice a week for half of the year, applying their classroom learning to exciting experiments and projects.
  • Tynker Computer Curriculum: During the other half of the year, students participate in computer specials, using the Tynker curriculum to develop foundational coding skills and digital literacy.

Our K-5 programs are designed to inspire a lifelong passion for science and technology, equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
